Purpose
Youth Outreach Program is a national initiative designed to support, engage, and empower young people—especially those facing social, economic, educational, or emotional challenges. The program aims to provide meaningful opportunities, guidance, and resources that help youth build self-confidence, gain life skills, and pursue positive pathways in education, employment, and civic life.
With a focus on inclusion and equity, the program targets marginalized and underserved youth, including Indigenous youth, newcomers, racialized communities, LGBTQ+ youth, and youth living in poverty or rural areas. YOP aligns with Canada’s Youth Policy, which recognizes the importance of creating supportive environments where all young people can thrive.
