Purpose
Mental Health and Wellness Program is a comprehensive, community-based initiative designed to support the emotional, psychological, and social well-being of individuals across the country. The program aims to address the growing mental health challenges in Canada—including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, and social isolation—through accessible, inclusive, and culturally sensitive services.
The MHWP supports national efforts such as the Canadian Mental Health Strategy (Mental Health Commission of Canada) and aligns with the Public Health Agency of Canada’s priorities on promoting mental wellness and early intervention. The program targets diverse groups, including youth, seniors, newcomers, Indigenous communities, and marginalized populations who face barriers to accessing mental health care.
