Tech Hubs for Digital Equity is a project by Pamoja Elevate Community Services that aims to provide low-income youth and families with access to technology, digital literacy training, and employment-focused programming.

  1. Artificial Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming industries and redefining the future of work. This module introduces participants to the foundational concepts of AI, including machine learning, neural networks, and real-world applications. The curriculum is designed to be accessible to beginners while offering pathways to intermediate and advanced learning. Participants explore supervised and unsupervised learning, natural language processing (NLP), and computer vision. Ethical considerations in AI, such as bias mitigation and responsible use, are emphasized throughout the course.

Hands-on projects includes building simple models using Python and TensorFlow, experimenting with Google’s Teachable Machine, and analyzing datasets using Google Colab. The module aligns with the Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals (AI-900) and Google AI for Everyone certifications, providing learners with recognized credentials to validate their skills.

Mentorship is provided by AI professionals from academia and industry. Sessions include career guidance, portfolio reviews, certification preparation, and mock interviews. Participants also engage in ethical debates and real-world case studies to deepen their understanding.

Job placement support includes connections to internships, freelance platforms, and entry-level roles in AI startups and research labs.   1. Cybersecurity

Cybersecurity is a critical field that protects digital assets and ensures the integrity of information systems. This module equips learners with the skills to identify, prevent, and respond to cyber threats. Topics include cyber hygiene, network security, threat detection, ethical hacking, and compliance. Participants use tools such as Wireshark, Kali Linux, and Metasploit to conduct vulnerability assessments and simulate attacks.

The curriculum aligns with the Microsoft Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (SC-900) and Google Cybersecurity Certificate. These certifications prepare learners for roles such as Security Analyst, SOC Technician, and IT Support Specialist.

The module aligns with the Microsoft Azure Developer Associate and Google UX Design Certificate. These certifications validate skills in front-end and full-stack development.
